the project's handout |
Since before recollection, we have gathered in the light and warmth of fire circles—our vital kinship with one another and the Earth merging as one.
You’ve sat in such a circle—enchanted as I—perhaps feeling the presence of our ancestors in the embers and flames. The fire is no different today. Technology has yet to diminish it’s power to keep us grounded in this manner.
Modernity has, however, given us the tools and tendency to drift apart from one another and from our Earth connection—and for this, we’ve developed a capricious regard. Without bias of any kind, the Earth provides every thing we have. We should be so selfless. It's time to reground—to rebuild and reconnect with the vitality we once shared.
This…is our project’s mission.
Our method employs humble little stones—our ambassadors of good will and our bridges for reconnecting. We place them in circles around the candle flame, symbolizing loved ones near and far, living and departed, ancestral and those yet to be. These "circles of friends" truly are free to project our vital union, across all races, cultures and distances, and without the impediments of politics or dogma.

What’s in a stone. . . but life itself.
Read a few of the sharing stories and you'll find evidence of the project’s ongoing success.
The founding story is really quite amusing. So simple and yet so powerfully, it evolved into the project's idea.
We build "circles of friends" pictured here to help advance the project's goals and fund our website. We're giving these to families as part of our outreach effort and we're offering them as well in exchange for a modest donation. We'd sincerely appreciate your help.
We're also building a learning center not only to revisit our heritage with the Earth and the important connections we need to rebuild, but help learn about it's geology and to see, up close, many of the world's famous stone circles and learn of their intrinsic connections to man.
I hope you enjoy your experience with us as much as I do in sharing it.
All the best to you and sincerely,
Doug
